• This online course provides 3-hours of required Continuing Education for licensed Virginia HVAC Tradesmen.
• Books are not required, but the 2003 International Mechanical Code is recommended.

The purpose of this course is to provide the student with a thorough understanding of the International Mechanical Code requirements for heating, air conditioning and refrigeration  systems provided in the International Mechanical Code.  Topics reviewed during this class include, definitions, purpose, theory, and installation different types of HVAC systems. 

• There is no initial application required for registration of this course.
• HVAC persons may register online or by calling 800-992-1910 for assistance or more information.
• Upon completing the online course, American Contractors will electronically submit your completed hours to the D.P.O.R., in Richmond, VA.

There is no reciprocity for this Virginia HVAC Continuing Education course.

This online course satisfies the 3-hrs of Continuing Education required by Virginia for Master and Journeyman HVAC license renewals.

 At the conclusion of this session, the license holder will be required to take a twenty -five question practice test, used to prove competency in these topics

The 2003 International Mechanical Code is not required for this course, however it is recommended to students who wish to get the most from this online course.

American Contractors offers a HVAC Continuing Education online course that fulfills all 3 hours required by the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulations for license renewal for Journeyman and Master HVAC license holders.
