AGC contractors set safety record

New Mexico Business Weekly

 

Twenty-one contractors who are members of the New Mexico Building Branch of the Associated General Contractors were honored for their 2006 jobsite safety records.

Eighteen of the contractors collectively reported 4,130,842 hours worked in 2006 with no lost workdays. The total topped the previous chapter record of 3,332,920 set in 2001.

J.B. Henderson Construction Co. Inc. in Albuquerque set a single company record of 1,144,142 hours worked in 2006 with no lost workdays.

Contractors recognized for having a zero lost-workday incidence rate were American National Insulation & Sealants, B&D Industries, Baker Construction Co. Inc., Beaty Construction Co., DKD Electric LLC, Four Suns Builders Inc., Gerald Martin General Contractor, J.B. Henderson, Jaynes Corp., Lee Landscapes Inc., Miller Bonded Inc., Richardson and Richardson Inc., Seal-Co. Inc., Star Construction Inc. and Western States Fire Protection, all of Albuquerque. Building Trades Specialties Inc. of Belen, Lockwood Construction Co. of Santa Fe and Concrete Frame Associates of Denver also made the list

Contractors recognized for having a lost workday incidence rate 25 percent below the national average were AUI Inc., Big J Enterprises LLC and Jaynes Structures Inc., all of Albuquerque.
